Samsung is teaming up with Google to bring your Google Photos library directly to your smart TV. The company announced it wants to be the first to natively integrate Google Photos into its TVs, a move designed to make your personal photos a central part of your daily TV experience.

The plan is to have Google Photos work seamlessly with Samsung’s own AI assistant, “Vision AI Companion.” This will cause your photos to pop up on the screen at “contextual and convenient moments” as you navigate the TV’s menus.

Samsung says the new integration will offer three main new experiences. The first, called “Memories,” will automatically create curated stories based on the people, places, and important moments in your photo library. This feature is set to launch in March 2026 and will be exclusive to Samsung TVs for the first six months.

Later in 2026, Samsung will launch “Create with AI,” a tool that uses Google’s powerful AI to let you transform your photos with different themed templates. You’ll even be able to turn a still image into a short video.

Finally, “Personalized Results” will create themed slide shows of your photos based on specific topics or what’s in the photo, like all your photos from the beach or a trip to Paris. It’s an interesting new way to bring your personal memories to the biggest screen in your house, and a clear sign that Samsung is thinking beyond just streaming movies and TV shows.
