Big tech companies are constantly looking for new ways to get people to use artificial intelligence in their daily lives. Google’s latest attempt is more playful than a workspace assistant: it’s an AI meme generator. The new feature, called “Me Meme,” is coming to the Google Photos app and lets you create personalized memes starring a digital version of yourself.

Google describes the tool as an easy way to play with your library and make content that you can quickly share with friends and family. The process is straightforward. You can pick from a variety of built-in templates or upload your own funny image to use as a base. The AI then uses a reference photo of your face to blend it into the meme.

You might not see the feature on your phone just yet. A Google representative confirmed that the company is rolling out “Me Meme” to Android and iPhone users over the coming weeks. Once it arrives, you can find it by opening the Google Photos app and tapping the “Create” button at the bottom of the screen. After you select a template and add your photo, the app generates the meme. If you aren’t happy with how the digital version of your face looks, you can tell the app to try again.

To get the best results, Google suggests using portrait photos in which you are looking directly into the camera and the lighting is clear. The company also reminds users that this is still an experimental feature. This means the results might not always match your real-life appearance perfectly. It’s a simple, lighthearted addition to the app that shows how Google is trying to make AI feel more approachable for regular users.
