It is officially that time of year again. Your social media feeds are about to flood with colorful graphics showing exactly what everyone listened to over the last 12 months. Spotify Wrapped is back, and you can open the app to check your personalized summary right now.
As usual, the feature breaks down your specific listening habits. You will see your top genres, your favorite artists, the songs you played on repeat, and exactly how many minutes you spent with your headphones on. It is a fun way to rediscover music you loved back in March or realize just how much white noise you played while trying to sleep. While sharing these stats is a yearly tradition, Spotify added a new twist this year called Wrapped Party.
Wrapped Party turns your data into a game. Instead of just staring at your own list, you can now enter a live competition with your friends—this feature awards you based on your specific habits. You might snag a badge for listening to the smallest, most obscure artists, or for showing total obsession with one specific band. Most importantly, it settles the argument over who in your friend group listens to the most music overall.
Beyond your personal playlist, Spotify also revealed what the rest of the world loved in 2025. Bad Bunny had a massive year, taking the title of the most-streamed artist globally. This marks his fourth win in the last five years. He also claimed the top album spot, cementing his place as a streaming giant just ahead of his highly anticipated Super Bowl appearance.
The race for the top song delivered a surprise. While you might expect Taylor Swift or Bad Bunny to hold the crown, the number one global spot went to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars for their duet, “Die With a Smile.” On the podcast side, things were much more predictable, with The Joe Rogan Experience taking first place yet again.
If you do not use Spotify, you still have options. Apple Music offers its Replay feature, and Amazon Music provides a summary called Delivered. Even YouTube has jumped in with a recap for video watchers. But for Spotify users, the sharing—and the friendly competition—starts today.
