LG Electronics is making a major play to become a leader in the booming market for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. The company has teamed up with two of its sister companies, LG CNS and LG Energy Solution, to create a “One LG” integrated solution for building and running AI data centers. The three affiliates showed off their unified approach for the first time at a major industry exhibition in Singapore this week.

The idea is simple: by combining their expertise, the three LG companies can offer a complete, one-stop shop for anyone looking to build a data center. LG Electronics brings its advanced, high-efficiency cooling systems, which are critical for the power-hungry servers that run AI. LG CNS offers its expertise in designing, building, and operating the data centers themselves. And LG Energy Solution provides the robust power and battery backup systems needed to keep everything running 24/7.

“With our differentiated thermal management systems… and robust power solutions, the One LG integrated solution positions us to lead in the rapidly growing AI data center market proactively,” said an LG Electronics executive.

The company is already putting this new strategy into action. At the exhibition, LG CNS showed off a model of a massive AI data center it is currently building in Jakarta, Indonesia. LG Electronics recently signed a deal to supply its cooling systems to the world’s largest net-zero AI data center, which is being built in Saudi Arabia’s futuristic Neom city project.

As the demand for AI continues to explode, so does the need for the massive, power-intensive data centers that run it. LG is betting that its new, all-in-one approach will make it a go-to partner for companies around the world.
