LG has finally revealed the price and release details for its Micro RGB evo TV. This marks the company’s first entry into a new display trend that really took off at CES 2026. You can pre-order the LG Micro RGB evo today, with prices starting at $5,000. This new TV comes after the recent launch of LG’s super-thin Wallpaper TV.
The Micro RGB evo sits at the very top of LG’s new display lineup, building directly on what the company learned from its Mini LED technology. This new television uses LG’s special Micro RGB panel and its powerful Alpha A11 AI processor. This processor runs the TV’s webOS software and, more importantly, powers the “Micro RGB Engine” that controls each tiny LED light in the TV.
LG claims the Micro RGB evo offers full color coverage across DCI-P3, BT.2020, and Adobe RGB color spaces. It also promises “enhanced contrast and refined detail” thanks to its more than a thousand dimming zones. These features suggest a stunning visual experience for viewers.
While Micro RGB technology should provide better color accuracy than OLED, LG’s OLED TVs still have their own strengths, especially when it comes to contrast and how well they dim local areas of the screen. Micro RGB panels are similar to LG’s Mini LED screens, but with a key difference: instead of using all blue or white LEDs, the Micro RGB evo features individual red, green, and blue LEDs that can each be controlled separately.
Other major companies like TCL and Samsung are also exploring this new type of display technology. For now, Micro RGB TVs are not as affordable as some QD-OLED or standard OLED TVs on the market. This makes the Micro RGB evo a premium product for early adopters.
The LG Micro RGB evo is available for pre-order starting today on LG’s website. You can choose from three screen sizes: 75, 86, and 100 inches. The smallest 75-inch model starts at $5,000, with prices increasing for the larger sizes.
