LG is expanding its lineup of super-light laptops with two new Gram Pro models that are packed with the latest hardware and built-in AI features. The new 16-inch and 17-inch versions continue the Gram series’ tradition of being incredibly easy to carry, while adding enough power for creative work and even some gaming.
True to their name, the laptops are exceptionally light. The 16-inch model weighs just three pounds, while the larger 17-inch model weighs only 3.3 pounds. Inside, they are powered by Intel’s new Core Ultra processors and come with a capable Nvidia RTX 5050 graphics card, 32GB of RAM, and a massive 2TB solid-state drive. LG also claims an impressive battery life of up to 27 hours for video playback.
The biggest new feature is the built-in AI, which LG refers to as “gram AI.” It uses a clever hybrid approach. For quick and private tasks, it uses on-device AI. For more complex questions, it connects to the cloud and utilizes GPT-4, with the first year of access provided free of charge. This system can assist with tasks such as scheduling meetings or replaying recently viewed content with a feature called “Time Travel.”
The laptops also feature a Gram Link 2.0, which enables seamless file transfers and allows you to make phone calls directly on your laptop using your phone.
Pricing for the new laptops starts at $2,799.99 for the 16-inch model, while the 17-inch version starts at a lower price of $2,549.99. Both models are available now directly from LG’s online store, with a wider release in other retail stores expected later in 2025.
