Lenovo, the world’s top PC maker, just made a massive play to dominate the AI market. At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the company announced a major partnership with U.S. chip giant Nvidia. Together, they want to help cloud providers get AI data centers up and running in record time.

The core of this deal is the “Lenovo AI Cloud Gigafactory.” By combining Lenovo’s specialized liquid-cooled hardware with Nvidia’s powerful computing chips, the companies claim they can slash deployment times. What usually takes months might now only take a few weeks. Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing stood on stage with Nvidia’s Jensen Huang to explain that this new “AI factory” design sets a high bar for how companies build and scale AI environments.

But Lenovo isn’t just focusing on big servers. They also brought a wave of new consumer tech to the show. Yang introduced “Qira,” a personal AI system that lives inside Lenovo and Motorola devices. Whether you are using a laptop, tablet, or phone, Qira runs in the background to help you out. It even connects with third-party services; for instance, it can talk to Expedia to help you book a trip without you jumping between different apps.

The hardware lineup was equally busy. Motorola finally showed off its first foldable smartphone, signaling a new era for the classic brand. Lenovo also jumped into the “smart glasses” trend, revealing a pair of concept AI glasses that will compete with similar products from Samsung and Alibaba.

To round out the reveals, Lenovo gave a sneak peek at “Project Maxwell.” This is a wearable AI assistant designed to give users real-time help as they go about their day. Between the massive data center tools and the tiny AI wearables, Lenovo is clearly trying to prove it can handle every part of the AI revolution, from the heavy-duty backend to the gadget in your pocket.
