Leaks and dummy models reveal what to expect from the iPhone 17
Leaks and dummy models reveal what to expect from the iPhone 17, including a new ultra-thin "Air" model and a redesigned camera for the Pro.

With Apple’s next big smartphone launch just around the corner, a flood of leaks and rumors is painting a clear picture of what to expect from the iPhone 17 lineup. The biggest news is the likely introduction of a brand new model: the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air.

Following the naming of its lightweight laptops, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to be incredibly thin, with some reports claiming its battery will be half the thickness of the Pro model’s. Rumors suggest it will feature a single camera lens, a basic A19 chip, and a 6.6-inch screen. Leaks also point to a titanium frame, though some reports conflict on the exact materials. At a rumored price of $900, it would sit between the standard iPhone 17 and the more expensive Pro models.

The rest of the lineup will likely include a standard iPhone 17, a Pro, and a Pro Max. The Pro models might see the most dramatic design change, with leaks showing a new full-width “camera island” on the back, a first for Apple. We’ve also gotten a good look at the potential new colors for all the models, thanks to leaked images of “dummy” phones showing off new shades of blue, green, and even a bold orange for the Pro.

The new phones will run on the recently announced iOS 26, which features a new “Liquid Glass” design and a host of new AI capabilities, including live translation in calls and messages. While we won’t know for sure until Apple’s official September event, the leaks suggest this will be a big year for design changes across the entire iPhone family.
