We’re just weeks away from Google’s big hardware event on August 20, and a major leak is giving us our best look yet at the upcoming Pixel Watch 4. What appear to be official marketing slides for the new smartwatch have surfaced on Reddit, detailing several significant upgrades.
One of the biggest improvements highlighted in the leak is battery life. The slides claim the Pixel Watch 4 will last up to 30 hours on a single charge, a 25% boost over the current model. This has been a major request from users, so it’s a welcome change. The watch is also getting a new “Gen 3 sensor hub,” which should lead to more accurate activity and health tracking, including heart rate monitoring.
The leaked slides also give us another look at the watch’s unusual side-charging system, which was first seen in earlier rumors. The new watch will have charging contacts positioned directly on the side of the casing, a major departure from previous models.
Other details from the marketing materials include mentions of a “premium crafted design,” improved durability, and “dual frequency” GPS for more accurate location tracking. As expected, the watch will also feature integration with Google’s Gemini AI and will likely come in two sizes again, 41 mm and 42 mm.
While Google has yet to officially confirm any of these details, the leaked slides paint a clear picture of a substantial upgrade for the Pixel Watch lineup, one that could make it a much stronger competitor in the smartwatch market.
