Instagram is shutting out smaller creators and private users from its Live feature, now requiring a minimum of 1,000 followers to broadcast.

Instagram has just rolled out a new feature that Reels users have been wanting for a long time: a watch history. The head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, announced the new addition on Friday, saying he hopes it will help people find “that thing that you were trying to find that you couldn’t find before.”

The new feature is a simple but incredibly useful tool. We’ve all been there: you’re scrolling through Reels, see something great, and then accidentally refresh the app or tap the wrong button, losing it forever. With the new watch history, that frustration is a thing of the past.

You can find the new feature in your Instagram settings, under “Your activity.” From there, you’ll see a new “Watch history” option. The page lets you sort the videos you’ve watched from newest to oldest, and you can even jump to a specific date or filter by the account that posted the video.

It’s a small change, but one that will make a big difference in how people use the platform. Finding that funny clip, that great recipe, or that interesting tutorial you saw last week is now just a few taps away.
