The teaser image showcases a forward-thinking design, clearly reflecting Hyundai’s “Art of Steel” design philosophy. The side profile reveals a bold stance characterized by sculpted surfaces, precise lines, and sharp intersections. This aesthetic is intended to convey both dynamism and a sense of refined precision. Hyundai designers have emphasized the intention to move beyond incremental improvements, striving for a revolutionary approach to compact EV design.

Senior Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Center, Simon Loasby, commented on the design process, stating that the project provided an opportunity to “rethink the compact EV from the ground up.” Exterior designer Manuel Schoettle added that the use of steel felt “natural,” contributing to the vehicle’s overall purity and intended to evoke a positive emotional response.

The unveiling of the Ioniq Concept Three at IAA Mobility 2025 promises to be a significant event, highlighting Hyundai’s future vision for sustainable mobility and its strategic focus on the European automotive market. The company hopes the design’s unique blend of sculpted forms and sharp lines will resonate with consumers and establish a new benchmark within the compact EV segment.
