Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, is officially moving into the corporate world. The company just launched two new subscription tiers—Grok Business and Grok Enterprise—designed to compete directly with ChatGPT and Google Gemini. These plans give professional users access to the company’s newest and most powerful models, including Grok 3, Grok 4, and the high-performance Grok 4 Heavy.
Privacy is the biggest selling point for these new versions. xAI confirmed that it will not use any data from Business or Enterprise interactions to train its AI models. To make the tool more useful for daily work, Grok can now connect with third-party apps like Google Drive. This allows the chatbot to scan a company’s internal files to provide more specific and relevant answers. However, the system still follows existing security rules. If a user does not have permission to see a specific file in Google Drive, Grok will not be able to access it or show it to them either.
The chatbot is also getting better at showing its work. It now cites sources so users can double-check its answers and verify facts. For company managers, the Business plan includes a central console to track how the team uses the tool, manage individual users, and handle billing in one place. The Enterprise plan adds even more protection, including single sign-on (SSO) and the “Enterprise Vault” feature, which lets companies use their own encryption keys for maximum safety.
When it comes to the price, Musk is clearly aiming for OpenAI. Grok Business costs $30 per user per month, the same price as ChatGPT Business. Google’s Gemini Business remains the cheaper option, with prices ranging from $14 to $21. For individual users, a basic Grok plan is still free, but the premium “SuperGrok” subscription costs $30 a month—significantly higher than the $20 monthly fee for ChatGPT Plus. By launching these plans, Musk is betting that businesses will pay a premium for powerful models and strict data privacy.
