Anthropic has rolled out a major upgrade for its AI assistant, Claude, giving it the ability to connect directly with popular software tools like Notion, Canva, Stripe, and Figma. This new feature, called the Claude tool directory, makes the AI much smarter and more useful for everyday tasks.

For example, if you’re managing a project in Notion, you can just ask Claude to create a presentation timeline. The AI will access your Notion document directly, understand the tasks and deadlines, and build the timeline for you. It sees what you see, so it has the full context.
This might sound like a small change, but it’s a huge step forward in making AI assistants truly helpful. By closing this “context gap,” Claude moves beyond being just a chatbot you talk to and becomes a genuine assistant that works alongside you in the apps you already use.
