Spotify is giving its Apple TV app a much-needed makeover, rolling out a completely new “experience” that brings many of the best features from its mobile app to the big screen.

The updated app, which is rolling out now, features a brand new interface designed specifically for Apple’s tvOS. But the changes go far beyond just a new look. The app now includes the ability to view song lyrics and manage your listening queue, two features users have been requesting for a long time.

The update also brings some of Spotify’s newer and more popular features to the TV. You can now use Spotify DJ, the company’s AI-powered guide that helps you discover new music. And for Premium subscribers, the app now supports music videos. If a song has a music video, you can tap a button to “switch to video.”

Podcast fans are getting some love, too. The new app can now play podcast videos, and you can adjust the playback speed for any video content. This is a timely addition, as Spotify recently announced a deal to bring some of its podcast videos to Netflix early next year.

The redesign also includes improved remote control support via Spotify Connect, which should make for a much smoother, less frustrating user experience. All in all, it’s a massive upgrade that finally makes the Spotify experience on Apple TV feel like a first-class citizen.
