LG CNS is partnering with the global giant Honeywell to introduce advanced artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to the U.S. manufacturing industry. This move makes LG CNS the first official Korean partner for Honeywell in the AI and IT services space.

The deal was recently signed in Texas by the leaders of both companies, who agreed to jointly develop AI-powered factory automation and intelligence solutions. The partnership is a perfect match of skills. Honeywell has decades of experience with the sensors and control systems that run factories, while LG CNS brings its expertise in building and implementing AI solutions.

Here’s how it works: LG’s problem-solving AI can analyze data from Honeywell’s systems in real-time. If a machine breaks down or a problem occurs on the production line, the AI can instantly pinpoint the cause and suggest a solution, saving time and money.

Their initial focus is on developing a powerful manufacturing execution system (MES) that can be applied across various industries, including semiconductors and batteries. An MES is like the brain of a factory, managing everything from equipment and processes to workers in real-time to maximize production efficiency. LG CNS plans to embed its AI technology into every step, creating a single, integrated system that manages everything from planning to quality control.

This partnership isn’t just about one product. LG CNS plans to use successful case studies from its work in Korea to find new business opportunities. By leveraging Honeywell’s network of over 100 major clients, the two companies aim to expand their AI manufacturing technology into the global market, including the US and Europe.
